How to make a Manual Payment on PaymentsHub

All your domestic and international payments on one platform
The Manual Payments feature on PaymentsHub allows you to make individual, one-off payments outside of a typical payment run and without the need to pull invoices from QuickBooks Online. It can be used for inter-company payments, non-invoice or PO backed payments, tax payments, and expense reimbursements.

Here, we will look at all the steps required to make a manual payment.
Step 1. After signing into PaymentsHub, select ‘Make Payments’ under the Manual Payments menu.

Step 2. Select ‘Choose Beneficiary’, select the beneficiary you want to make a payment to, and press ‘Continue’.

Step 3. Choose which account you want to use as the source of funds for the payment.

Step 4. Select the Target Currency of the payment.

You can either choose the currency from the account you’re funding the payment from or, if different, the currency of the account you’re paying into. If you haven’t turned on Auto-Convert, read this article on how you can benefit from the feature.

Step 5. Fill in other payment details, including ‘Amount’, ‘Payment Type’, ‘Reason for Payment’, and ‘Payment Reference’.

Step 6. Once you’ve filled in all the details, select ‘Continue to Review Payment’

Step 7. Review the payment details, including the applied FX rate, tick the box and press ‘Confirm Payment’.

Step 8. If your payment requires dual-authorization, it will be highlighted on the Booking Confirmation Screen.

Users can be set-up to be able to both create and approve payments, as per your requirements.

Step 9. For dual authorization, the Payment Approver goes to ‘Payments Summary’, selects the payment they wish to approve, and selects ‘Approve’.

Only users with approval authority can select and approve payments. You can also set-up Entity Management, which allows you to customize what payments users see depending on which entity they belong to and/or what beneficiaries you’d like them to manage.
